CleanCo is committed to growing a market-leading energy business in Queensland, specialising in sustainable energy products. Beyond energy generation, our activities support broader objectives including building local supply chains, supporting a pipeline of jobs and training for the regions, decarbonising Queensland’s energy intensive industries, supporting regional economic development and security.

Our organisation is structured to support our strategic objectives and strategic enablers. CleanCo comprises the following teams:

Our Customer and Energy Markets team is passionate about growing CleanCo’s business by creating long-term and valued relationships with Queensland’s large energy users as we help them navigate the energy transition and thrive in a net zero world.

The team actively engages with energy users, striving to develop and deliver new and innovative commercial solutions to market, in turn delivering long-term value for CleanCo and its customers.

The Asset Operations team is responsible for managing CleanCo’s portfolio of generation assets which includes power stations in far north Queensland, Ipswich and Wivenhoe.

The team includes our Environment and Health and Safety teams, ensuring CleanCo employees can work safely and that our assets are operated according to environmental requirements.

Our Strategy and Development team is charged with delivering on CleanCo’s vision to develop a 5GW portfolio of wind and solar generation, supported by lower emission firming assets.

The group identifies new generation assets for CleanCo and works with developers to bring these assets to the market while creating positive social and environmental outcomes for our people, customers and host communities.

The Legal and Governance team works closely with all parts of the business to understand CleanCo’s strategic objectives, identify and advise on existing and emerging legal risks, and provide commercial and practical solutions to assist CleanCo to achieve its goals.

The team provides advice across all aspects of CleanCo’s business, from existing operations to development projects and corporate functions.

Our ICT team manages and supports a portfolio of enterprise applications.

By operating and supporting ICT infrastructure and solutions, the ICT team empowers CleanCo to meet its strategic objectives, and enables end users and teams to meet their business goals.

Our People and Culture team plays a crucial role in driving CleanCo’s success and sustainability by strategically managing our most valuable asset – our people.

The team’s responsibilities encompass attracting and recruiting top talent, fostering employee development and retention, creating a positive and inclusive work environment, and ensuring adherence to organisational policies and employment laws.

Our Finance team manages CleanCo’s financial resources, financial analysis, accounting, and reporting. The team ensures CleanCo has sufficient funds to operate and grow, and that financial risks are managed.

The Procurement function ensures CleanCo has the resources needed to operate and grow, while ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently, effectively and in line with the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP).

The Government Relations and Communications team provides specialist advice and support to CleanCo, helping to deliver and strengthen key stakeholder relationships, including across federal, state, and local government and our Shareholding Ministers’ portfolios.
