At CleanCo Queensland, we’re leading the charge toward a clean energy future, crafted in Queensland.

We are a low-emission energy retailer, generator and developer backed by the Queensland Government. We empower our customers to make the transition to safe, reliable, low-emission energy through innovation, collaboration and operational excellence.

We are leaders in Queensland’s energy transition, supplying large-scale, low-emission energy to our customers and their communities. Our aim is to create a better energy future for our customers, communities and Queensland.

As part of our purpose, we are delivering clean energy solutions to help our customers thrive in a net zero future. We do this through a no-coal portfolio and a reliable firming asset base and because we are owned by the Queensland Government, we reinvest our profits back into the state.

Our enterprise strategy

Our enterprise strategy is focused on delivering value to Queensland, using our unique portfolio to support our position as Queensland’s cleaner, more flexible large generator.

We operate and maintain our assets safely, and dispatch when the market needs it most to support affordability, reliability and our own profitability.

We select projects that best match the energy needs of our customers and the market and will build a sustainable longer-term portfolio by partnering with the private sector on new investment opportunities that complement our portfolio and deliver commercial value. We integrate sustainability into our new projects and existing operations to craft energy products which help large retail customers as they pursue their sustainability and energy ambitions.

We will build on our strength in firming and storage to manage the complexities of a large and diverse renewable-based energy portfolio, making sure we generate when it matters. Our ability to deliver energy when the market needs it most is a driver of our own profitability and our contribution to affordable and reliable energy for Queensland.
